Blinkfestivalen 2021, here is the program: four cross-country skiing and three biathlon competitions

From 4 to 8 August Sandnes will host many big names in cross-country skiing and biathlon; the hope is that there will be fewer restrictions and athletes from countries outside of Norway may also be at the start.

The organizing committee has defined the program of the Blinkfestivalen 2021 , which as usual will take place in Sandnes, starting with the uphill race “Lysebotn Opp”. The program includes roller ski and summer biathlon competitions, with all the Norwegian big names as protagonists, but probably, restrictions permitting, the competitions will be open to some foreign athletes.

Elite men of
Elite class women of class

Friday 6 August:

Cross-country skiing:

Women and men of elite, classic prologue + pursuit in classic. The prologue serves as a qualification for the start of the pursuit. A maximum of 35 runners will participate in the pursuit.

Biathlon:

Prologue and Supersprint Elite men and women. Max 30 runners at the start in the super sprint. The Prologue qualifies for both the super sprint on Friday and the mass start on

Saturday 7 August

Cross-country skiing:

Elite women and men, freestyle sprint (incl. Prologue qualifying for the quarter-finals)

Biathlon:

Mass Start Elite women and men. Maximum 30 runners at the start with joint start. Friday’s prologue is the mass start qualification

Shooting duel, rules and qualification for the shooting duel will be described in more detail in the information to be published in June.

Sunday 8 August:

BLINK Classics Team Challenge – Long distance mixed relay. Classic style. 8-hour relay consisting of three runners. At least one runner of each gender on the team.
