With a limit of 120 competitors, in four categories, this Sunday, June 27, the Campo Traviesa Aquathlon 2021 will be launched, a contest organized by the Tuxtleco Sports Institute (Indetux) and which will cover the swimming and obstacle course stages. The starting flag will be given at 8:00 am.
It will not be the first time that the capital dependency carries out this type of activity. In March of this year a similar event was held, and it was with a specific purpose, because at that time the inscriptions were based on delivering a fruit tree and a non-war toy, on the occasion of Children’s Day.
Something similar will be lived for this new edition, although the request is only to present a toy in good condition, that does not use batteries, that are not warlike and not balls. The categories 15 to 18, 19 to 24, 25 to 29 years and over 30 are those enabled for this weekend’s fair. It is worth mentioning that both the women’s and men’s branches will be able to compete.
It is important to mention that, unlike the previous event, the infantile and primary force sectors were not taken into account; the first, to avoid putting the health of the little ones at risk, and the second is implicit within the last two divisions.
Among the official specifications, the organizing committee indicated that the aquatic test will cover a distance of 100 meters, while the obstacle course will have a total distance of 2.5 kilometers, a route that will be completed inside the Parque del Oriente.
Finally, the call issued indicates that the awards will consist of medals for the first 3 places in each category and branch.
