Oct 21 (Reuters) – UK Athletics CEO Joanna Coates and execution chief Sara Symington have ventured down from their jobs, the overseeing body said on Thursday.
Coates, who recently headed England Netball, was delegated in March 2020, while previous cyclist Symington assumed control over the work in August last year. Symington will join British Cycling as top of its Olympic and Paralympic program.
English media revealed last month that various competitors had told World Athletics president Sebastian Coe after the Diamond League meeting in Zurich that they were discontent with the current system and encouraged him to intercede.
“Imprint Munro, current Development Director, will take over as Interim CEO for a time of a half year to give vital progression and administration to the staff, competitors and mentors and will focus on working with the Board to begin the enlistment cycle for the two jobs,” UK Athletics said in an assertion.
