Guatemala shines in the Youth Pan American Rhythmic Gymnastics

This Saturday, Guatemala experienced a day full of magic at the Pan American Youth Rhythmic Gymnastics Championship. María Daniella González qualified for the final in clubs and tape, while the national team also achieved a ticket to the last round. In addition, the country secured two places, one for individuals and another for teams, for the Cali-Valle 2021 Junior Pan American Games.

In the morning shift, Daniella González, the only national representative in the individual modality, won the pass to the grand final of clubs by placing in tenth position after achieving an average of 14,350.

In the afternoon, he again demonstrated his talent and got his ticket to the film final after taking 10th place with a total of 13,500. The American Megan Chu, remained with the leadership of the test. In the final, the best eight gymnasts of each apparatus will participate, with a maximum of two representatives per country.

González positioned himself in seventh place in the all-around and got one of the tickets to the first youth Pan American jousts that will be held from November 25 to December 5 in Colombia.

At the end of the day, the whole of Guatemala made up of Daniella González, María Mercedes Villatoro, Sofía Cali, Yuliana Ríos and Daniela Valdez; He made a great performance on the tapes and took fourth place in the test, obtaining an average of 9,150.

This result, allowed him to place in fifth place in the general classification and, therefore, allowed him to advance to the medal round of the Pan American Youth Championship and, in addition, get a place in Cali-Valle 2021.
