With Ottawa County sorted at high danger for expanded transmission of the COVID-19 Delta variation, Hope College currently requires any individual who is inside in a grounds building, or nearby travel, to wear a face-covering paying little mind to immunization status. The arrangement came full circle on August 15 to add a layer of moderation to shield the Hope College people group from the spread of COVID-19.
Because of this new strategy, the accompanying rules will be as a result for forthcoming home athletic occasions:
The indoor face covering necessity applies to every single indoor space, including storage spaces, press boxes, functional stalls, and so on, paying little mind to immunization status.
Open air scenes (Van Andel Soccer Stadium, Ray and Sue Smith Stadium): No face covers are presently needed for fans.
Indoor settings (DeVos Fieldhouse): All home volleyball matches will expect fans to wear face covers, paying little mind to inoculation status, except if effectively eating or drinking.
Limits at home athletic occasions are not being restricted or diminished.
This approach is liable to change. Expectation Athletics will refresh our Indoor Mask Policy dependent on nearby and school conditions. We will stay in close contact with Ottawa County and update the Hope people group through hope.edu/Covid.
