To the gold medal won last Friday by Valentina Barrios in the Javelin throw, three more medals were added as a contribution from the Atlantic to the Colombian National Team, on the final day of the South American U20 athletics in Lima-Peru.
The gold medal was won by Melany Bolaño, in the 4 x 100 relay with a time of 46.35, a team made up of Isabel Urrutia, Natalia Linares, Laura Martínez and Melany Joibel from the Atlantic.
Jhovana Camargo, meanwhile, won Silver for Colombia in the 4 x 400 relay, with a record of 3.53.43, first place went to Brazil and Peru took third place.
In men, Néider Abello Sánchez, won a Bronze medal for our country in the 400m hurdles test, with a time of 53.34, the first place went to Brazil, silver for Venezuela and bronze for the Atlantic.
In Disco, María José Flórez ranked fifth with 39.73 meters, it was undoubtedly a great performance by our athletes who gave Colombia four medals in the South American sub20.
