He said this in a press conference in the meeting room of the Ministry of Primary and Mass Education at the secretariat on Tuesday morning.
He said that many of the names of government primary schools spread in different parts of the country have negative connotations which hinder the development of children’s taste, thinking, sense and sophistication. For this, the ministry has decided to change the names of these schools to be beautiful, tasteful, melodious and suitable to the local history and culture, including prominent people, brave freedom fighters.
He also said that by March of this year, all activities related to curriculum expansion and subject-related training of all primary level teachers will be completed.
The secretary of the ministry, Farid Ahmed, answered the questions of the journalists. Shah Rezwan Hayat, director general of the Directorate of Primary and Public Education, Abubakar Siddique, additional secretary of the ministry and Md. Mosharraf Hossain was present at this time.
