Bangladesh in Iran-Myanmar group

In 2024, the Olympics will be held in Paris, France. One of the events of this global event is women’s football. To play in the main stage of the Olympics, the Asian countries have to pass the qualifiers. The Asian region selection draw was held today Thursday in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

The 26 countries are divided into seven groups. In the draw, the girls of Bangladesh have fallen into ‘B’ group. Whereas Sabina-Krishnad’s opponents are Iran, Myanmar and Maldives. The qualifying matches will be held from April 3 to 11 this year. The top team from each group will advance to the next round of Olympic qualification. However, the venue of the matches has not been finalized yet.

Neighboring India has been placed in ‘G’ group. Their opponents are Kyrgyzstan and Turkmenistan.
