Twenty years after LeBron James won the hat contest as part of the McDonald’s All-American festivities, son Bronny James skied over younger brother Bryce in the same high school contest Monday in Houston.
Bronny, who is uncommitted to college next season, positioned Bryce a few feet in front of the hoop and face-off before dribbling over his little brother and skyward, finishing with a tomahawk slam in the final round of this year’s tournament. Powerade JamFest.

Unlike his father, Bronny settled for second place in the competition with Duke’s Sean Stewart — himself the son of NBA veteran Michael Stewart, who played one season for the Cleveland Cavaliers before the franchise drafted LeBron James out of high school in 2003. he even teamed up with the future legend for eight games as a rookie.
Bronny James, who will also compete in Tuesday’s McDonald’s All-American Game, opened the contest earlier with a lob pass to himself, catching it off the bounce and hitting a two-handed reverse slam for a score of 65.
