ESPN’s Dan Orlovsky shows weird shower habit, gets ripped on Twitter

At least he won’t be remembered just for accidentally walking out of the end zone during an NFL game.

ESPN’s Dan Orlovsky tweeted that he uses the towel 30 times before throwing it in the washer in response to a question from 3-time Ravens Pro Bowler Marlon Humphrey.

“I want to be able to shower and then blow dry with a full body blowout,” Humphrey tweeted. “Boom. No towels. How has someone not created this yet.’

Orlovsky replied, “You’re weirder than I am, man.”

Humphrey replied, “Does anyone really like towels?”

Then the former quarterback dropped the bombshell.

“The question is: How many times do you use the shower after the towel before you throw it in the laundry room? I’m 30 or more times before you go in

“And I disagree, but that air better be HOT.”

Humphrey replied: “30 times actually, I don’t know but not that many lol.”

He took Orlovsky’s method with little sympathy.

“Dan wants some attention now…no way is it 30 times!” tweeted 3-time Seahawks Pro Bowl Safety Quandre Diggs.

ESPN’s Tom Hart tweeted: “You are a disgusting human being.”

Sam Monson of Pro Football Focus asked, “At which point does the towel go in the washroom?”

Maybe it’s a quarterback thing because Orlovsky found a running back in former Charger Ryan Leaf.

“I’m probably right there with your Dan. 30 or so. Reminds me to wash the shower towel!”

Orlovsky played seven seasons in the NFL and is best remembered for going 0-7 as a starter for the 2008 Lions, the first team in league history to finish 0-16.

In a 12-10 loss to the Vikings in Week 6, he inadvertently ran out of the end zone for a safety while chasing Minnesota’s Jared Allen.

He also made the rounds on Twitter last September, apparently discussing the Bills’ offense after passing gas in the air.

Orlovsky later tweeted, “Should never try blue cheese…”
