Even though the prices of daily commodities have gone up, there is a 25 percent discount on alcohol

Petrol and diesel prices are rising every day in India. At the same time, the prices of vegetables are also increasing. When the price of everything in the market is skyrocketing, then wine is available cheaply. Again 25 percent discount.

The Delhi Excise Department has approved retail outlets to offer a maximum of 25 per cent discount on liquor in India. In February, the Delhi government banned alcohol consumption. The decision was taken on charges of violating Corona’s restrictions and selling alcohol at unfair prices.

Meanwhile, the new decision allows liquor stores to offer up to 25 percent discount on MRP. In this case, section 20 of the Delhi Excise Rules, 2010 must be strictly obeyed. However, the guidelines of the Excise Commission state that the government has the right to withdraw the exemption at any time in the public interest.

In the midst of the Kovid outbreak, retailers were offering offers like ‘Buy One, Drink One’ in February. As a result of which a lot of crowd gathers outside the shop, the code of conduct is violated. The Indian government then banned the sale of liquor.
