Fake examinee sentenced to one year imprisonment

Tangail City Oxford College of Science and Technology, a former student. A mobile court has sentenced a fake examinee named Raihan Kabir to one year imprisonment.

Babli Shabnam, assistant commissioner and executive magistrate of the district administration office, handed down the sentence on Monday afternoon. 

Babli Shabnam said, Raihan Kabir his friend Md. Visit the Tangail Polytechnic Institute Center to give a proxy for the referral examination of Drawing-2 (CAD) subject in the fourth semester of Sayem. 

Later, when the teachers checked his admission and papers, it was proved to be fake. He was later sentenced to one year in prison and fined Rs 200. 

BM Aminul Islam, principal of the Tangail Polytechnic Institute, said it was recommended to cancel the exam and not allow him to take the exam for the next three academic years.
