The YSR Congress Party, the ruling party in Andhra Pradesh, has started preparations ahead of the 2024 Lok Sabha elections. They held the hand of IPAC, the voting strategy maker. This is the second time YSRCP has teamed up with IPAC. Five years ago, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Jagan Mohan Reddy’s party won the Lok Sabha and Assembly elections with the help of this IPAC.
In the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, Jagan’s party won 22 of the 25 seats in Andhra Pradesh. The YSR Congress Party also won 151 out of 165 seats in the Assembly elections. However, political experts think that the ruling party in Andhra Pradesh is a bit backfoot this year. Why not, the strength of the opposition Telugu Desam Party has increased a bit. The Jan Sena Party, the political party of southern actor Pawan Kalyan, has officially stated that it supports the TDP. In this situation, the YSR Congress party has to hold the hand of IPAC once again under the pressure of some political situation, informed sources said. Although five years ago when Jagan had a deal with IPAC. IPAC was then led by Prashant Kishore, a founding voter. Now PK is not in iPack. He stepped down after the 2021 assembly elections in West Bengal. Now he is busy with his Jansuraya mission in Bihar.
The party has not yet announced the signing of the YSRCP agreement with IPAC. However, according to party sources, Jagan has a public meeting in a few days. There he could announce a deal with IPAC. Sources said that several meetings of the top leadership of the ruling party in Andhra Pradesh have already taken place with IPAC. Rishi Raj Singh was present at that meeting as a representative of IPAC. Under the leadership of Rishi Raj, IPAC will work for Jagan’s team.
