The education minister protested with a picture wearing a tip on Facebook

Many people are protesting against the incident of harassment of a woman wearing a tip. People from different walks of life have posted pictures on Facebook after the tip on their foreheads.

The Minister of Education has joined the protest. Dipu Moni.

And like everyone else, Dipu Moni has shared 7 pictures on Facebook with a tip on her forehead. These are old pictures of him taking part in various events.

In the caption, Dipu Moni writes, ‘I am a man, I am a Muslim, I am a Bengali, I am a woman.’

This is the latest post on Dipu Moni’s verified Facebook page posted yesterday. After that no new posts were seen there.

Meanwhile, after this protest post of the education minister, it went viral. So far, it has received more than 46,000 reactions, 934 shares.

In the comments room, many protested in unison with the education minister.

Soumitra Shekhar, vice-chancellor of Nazrul Islam University, a national poet based in Trishal, Mymensingh, wrote:

Tejgaon College teacher Lata Samaddar was walking from her home on Green Road in the capital last Saturday. While leaving, police constable Nazmul commented to him, “Why are you tipping over?” The college teacher alleged that the constable rode his bike on his feet at one stage when he protested the incident.

Police on Monday identified the police constable and took him into custody. He has already been suspended.

DMP Media Center Deputy Commissioner Farooq Hossain said a two-member committee has been formed to probe the incident. They have been asked to report within three working days.
