The government gave laptops to freelancers in Madhupur forest

The laptops were handed over at the BCC auditorium of the ICT department on Monday before the shooting of ‘Freelancer Nadia’ by Eid telefilm Rahitul Islam of ‘Banga Bob (Base on Book) Season 2’ began.

State Minister for Information and Communication Technology (ICT) Junaid Ahmed told Prothom Alo: The Prime Minister gave them laptops to give them courage and inspiration. An ICT training center will be set up in Madhupur soon. Besides, Sheikh Russell Digital Lab will be set up in Gaira village. The Prime Minister will also donate 20 more laptops to help the youth of Gaira village in freelancing.

Nasima Akhter, President of Women and Commerce Forum (WE), Mushfiqur Rahman, Chief Content Officer of OTT Platform Banga, writer and journalist Rahitul Islam and others were present on the occasion.

It is to be mentioned that after the publication of the report in Prothom Alo, internet connection company Amber IT and mobile phone provider Grameenphone came forward to solve the internet problem in Gaira village of Madhupur upazila.
