The mother is running away in fear of the boys

Widowed mother Abeda Begum (65) is running away in fear of her sons. The incident took place in Kurua village of Srivardi upazila of Sherpur. Abeda Begum is the wife of deceased Abdul Wahab Munsi of that village.

Abeda Begum said that she has three sons and three daughters. Married girls. Sons are also married and living separate families. After the death of her husband, a dispute arose between the sons over land. Due to this, sons Anwar Hossain (42) and Abdullah (33) jointly tried to grab the land of another brother Abdul Hai Al Hadi. At that time, when he stopped, the two brothers attacked Abeda Begum and she ran away from the house. He also said that if I had not escaped that day, they would have killed me by tying my hands and feet. I am running away from home because of this fear.

Meanwhile, Abdul Hai filed a case in Al Hadi Court, alleging that the land was being forcibly seized. On February 8, the court imposed a ban on both parties to interfere in that land under section 144. Disobeying this order, the two brothers jointly started the construction of a house on that land. In response to this, Abdul Hai Al Hadi approached the court. He said, I live in Dhaka to make a living. On this occasion, my two brothers threw my mother out of the house. Now the mother is running away in fear of them.

However, the two sons of the old lady, Anwar Hossain and Abdullah, said that this is our ancestral land. Everyone shared equally. Now in our part we will build houses. But because of the court case, I have stopped working. However, the mother left home of her own accord.

Alamgir Hossain, Sub-Inspector (SI) of Srivardi Police Station said that construction of houses has been banned after going to the spot. Necessary action will be taken as per the order of the court.
