I looked at it
After entering the game as Harrison Bader’s defensive backup in center field, Oswaldo Cabrera — making his first career appearance at the position — singled to right-center field in the eighth inning.
“I told him Bader was going to stand up, that’s not true,” manager Aaron Boone said with a smile. “It was a terrible play. … He’s shown us anywhere you put him on the field, he can make a play.”

Clarke Schmidt will start against the Red Sox at Steinbrenner Field for the 1:05 p.m. game.
