Here are some nuggets from the Yankees’ spring training Monday:
Hits playing
DJ LeMahieu had a pair of singles in the win.
In the first, he threw a double on a tight play, but the second single scored a pair of runs.
Aar’ ball
Aaron Hicks let loose a fly ball to left field in the first at-bat of the game, a play that was reminiscent of some of the late season struggles.

But unlike last year, he bounced back immediately, ripping a single and a double in his first two at-bats.
I looked at it
Willie Calhoun continues to play. The lefty, who is trying to make a case for the lefty job, went 2-for-3 with two singles and is now hitting .571 (8-14) with a 1.482 OPS through six games.
