Chile added two gold medals in the South American Junior Swimming Championship

The outstanding national athletes Mariano Lazzerini and Vicente Villanueva added two gold medals at the 2021 South American Junior Swimming Championship that takes place in Lima, Peru.

Lazzerini obtained the gold medal in the 100 meters breaststroke sub 18 , also achieving the championship record, while Villanueva did it in the 100 meters breaststroke competition , but in the sub 15 category.

Earlier, Eduardo Cisternas achieved a gold medal in the 200-meter freestyle, beating his own adult national record , achieved at the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games and breaking the sub-18 continental mark.
