Free swimming courses started in the north of Guayaquil

More than 200 children are part of the free swimming courses taught at the facilities of the Zumar Municipal Project Unit , located in the Mucho Lote 1 sector, in the north.

Minors from 7 to 17 years old separated by age groups and with a maximum of 50 participants at certain times participate in the practices on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays. They will last for two months.

The free registrations were made last week and the same opening day was completed with the maximum quota. The children have a work mesh developed by the facilitators. Among the obligations for each participant are the obligation to use hats, glasses, swimming suit, towels, slippers, and use of masks out of the water to avoid possible COVID-19 infections.

This initiative is promoted by Zumar and the municipal Sports Directorate to offer an alternative of recreation and physical activity for children, adolescents and young people in the city.

Due to the health situation, the number of places offered on this occasion was limited due to the health situation. (I)
