The 47th edition of the European Junior Championships starts today in Rome . From 6 to 11 July almost six hundred young swimmers will compete in the most beautiful pool in the world. For Italy 48 athletes will take to the water, captained by the world record holder in the 50 breaststroke Benedetta Pilato .

The races will take place with the classic formula, and then heats in the morning, semifinals in the afternoon and finals the following day. The batteries will take place starting at 9:00 , while the semifinals and finals will take place in the evening, starting at 18:00 .
