Yago Vicente Ferreira, from the Vilagarcía Swimming Club, rose as Galician runner-up in the 100-meter butterfly last weekend at the Galician Summer Alevín Swimming Championship, held in Pontevedra. The Vilagarcian pulverized his personal best, which stood at 1: 12.03 and improved it to 1: 08.91.
The club wanted to express its satisfaction at “being able to have a cadet representation in these Galician swimmers as in any other, and even more so if it is possible to get a podium in this category, which is another milestone in the club’s history, since CN Vilagarcía has never before he had managed to raise one of his athletes to such a high position on the podium box ”.
